Many thanks to all of you who have commented on my last post and are praying for me. I am overwhelmed with gratitude for all of the support I have received here and on Facebook. It's pretty neat to know that I literally have people praying for me all over the world.
Please continue to do so. I saw the surgeon yesterday and the news wasn't good. My CT scan revealed not only a large tumor on the colon but a tumor on my liver and 2 nodules on my lungs. Needless to say this was a pretty big blow.
The treatment plan as of now is this. I have surgery scheduled for tomorrow - December 24th at 11:00am at Harbor Hospital in Baltimore. After that I am to immediately begin receiving chemotherapy.
Don't know how much or how often I'll be able to update after this but I will do so as I am able. Please know that I deeply appreciate all of the kind words and prayers
Just prayed for your health and family, thanks for taking the time to update.
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Hi David,
This is Kyle Yancy from New York. I emailed you 'bout two days ago regarding my own cancer situation. If I may be so forward as to recommend a SECOND opinion regarding chemo, please give Dr. Nicholas J. Gonzalez, MD a call. His number is 212 213 3337. Don't mean to be rude, but it's the New Yawka in me. :-)

David,
I came to you through my friend Milton Stanley. I will pray for you and your family. May the Lord be with you at this time of great need. “The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the LORD lift up his countenance1 upon you and give you peace” (Numbers 6:24-26).

Twenty years, one month and ten days ago I underwent surgical removal of a Pituitary Adenoma surrounding my pituitary gland. I have taken daily medication every day since then. By God's grace I am still alive and well and will remember you in prayer as you enter this trial that He has ordained. May you grow and glorify Him because of it.

David,
My wife and I just prayed for you, and poured out our hearts to the Lord on your behalf. Though I've never met you, I consider you a friend and a brother. You blog was the first blog I ever read with any regularity. You've encouraged in ways you will never know. You and your family will continue to be in our prayers.

Curt and I prayed for you during your surgery on December 24th. We know that God has you all in the palm of His hand. You are a young man and will come through this ordeal whole. Peace be to you all.
