Here I am winding down a great Christmas day and finally coming in to catch up and say hello to all of my blog friends out there.
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and are looking forward to a great new year, and I wanted to say thanks to all of you who have taken the time to stop by and read some of my ruminations. I know you have plenty of choices on how you spend your time so I am honored that you have given some of it to me.
I am most likely going to be electronically unattached this week so I may not blog till the end of the week or the first of the new year. Of course that is no big news to those of you who have noticed my sporadic blogging lately. I do hope to establish some consistent patterns of blogging.
I'd also be interested in hearing from you, if you care to offer an opinion, of some topics you would like to see me blog on. Over the last year I have been kind of a wandering generality and have not had a consistent focus to my blogging. So I am wondering if any of you, particularly regulars, have any thoughts on topics or types of blogging I have done in the past that may have been of interest to you, and would care to share those thoughts in the comments.
And for the rest of you, again, please accept my sincere appreciation for stopping by and I will look forward to touching base with you again in the next week or so.
I like what you have to say here, you may have an ally in my blog. Please come and check out my mission, I think you will be in agreement.

How about the obvious superiority of the sport of baseball over basketball or even football? Examples from the Bible abound...
1. Gen. 1.1: In the big inning.....
2. Job 3.3: May the day of my birth perish... Job was a Chicago Cubs fan.
3. Rev. 13.1: And I saw a beast coming out of the sea. An obvious reference to the DH rule, artificial turf, and domed stadiums.

Hello,
First of all, thanks for your blog. I have enjoyed reading your posts a great deal. As for topics, I would love to see some stuff on the practical side of running a church. I am a bi-vocational pastor working in San Diego and some time, ok, most of the time, I feel lost as to how to lead the congregation.
Again, thanks for your blog.

Seems you aren't the only one having problems finding something to blog about. Jay Adkins seems to have slacked off more than you, and is contemplating closing his blog down, but I encourage him not to do that. Both of you are good writers and I enjoy your posts.

Dear JB, as i read your blog, i have to recommend a book to you and your readers for the new year. It is Brown Like Coffee. Kind of wacky but real challenging. I found it at brownlikecoffee.com
