This is one of the most moving photojournalist essays I have ever seen. It's the story of Katie Kirkpatrick Godwin and her husband Nick. Katie battled cancer for three years and died at 21. But Nick was determined to marry Katie, his high school sweetheart. So, in the midst of Katie's pain and fatigue from the chemo Nick and Katie were married, and five days later Katie died. This is just a great picture(s) of how beauty and joy can be found in the midst of the greatest agony.

Eye opener. I went and checked out some of the other photo essays from 2007 and 2009. Was totally blown away at the depth of the story telling ability that words together with still photo's give an artist. Thanks for introducing me to it.
