I'll be right back . . .

OK, I'm about to violate two of La Shawn's Blogging Pet Peeves, so please forgive me La Shawn.  The two pet peeves are:

4. Bloggers who write long posts about why they have no time to blog.

5.  Bloggers who write about their latest illness, right down to the details of an infection and physical description of a rash.

So, I'll make this short and I won't give all of the details, just a few. Been feeling lousy all week, a pain in the mid back region behind the lower part of my ribs.  It's been keeping me up most nights, and on Thursday I woke up and just about couldn't breathe and came down with uncontrollable shakes and chills.  Spent Thursday morning in the ER, they couldn't find anything.  Everyone I tell my story to says it sounds like I've got kidney stones.  And by the way, if  you want to hear some horror stories about excruciating pain, let a few friends know you might have kidney stones (and yes, I've heard the one about kidney stones being the closest thing a man come to giving birth about, oh, . . . 20 times).  So, I was basically out of it this week - just squeaked in getting a sermon ready,visiting some folks and taking care of church business.

I'm feeling much better right now, I played frisbee with Terry from Pruitt Communications today and felt great, so maybe in addition to more cowbell I need more frisbee.

I wouldn't have told you all of this except my wife just reminded me I hadn't blogged in a while in that little tone of voice that wives have, so I figured I would just write something to say hello and let you know I hope to be back in blogging form this week.  And I promise not to write anything this week that La Shawn wouldn't approve of ;-)
